The objective of the Redondo Beach Youth Basketball league is to instruct the youth of our community in the ideals of good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage, and scholastic achievement so that they may grow to be good, decent, healthy and trustworthy adults. This can only be done by those individuals who dedicate themselves to these endeavors.
To achieve this objective, RBYB will provide a supervised program of competitive basketball games under CIF rules. The Board of Directors and all members shall bear in mind that the attainment of exceptional athletic skills or the winning of games is secondary, and that the molding of future citizens is of primary importance.
In order to perform this function, we need volunteers to assist in managing, coaching, refereeing, and sponsoring. We have seen the cost of running the league increase over the past few years, due to the lack of parental volunteers. RBYB needs you!
To participate in the rewards of being a supporter of RBYB, sign up to be a volunteer. Navigate to the documents section and download the document relative to your area of interest.
For a simple, easy way you can get involved and help the league, volunteer to be a Gym Helper or part of the Sunday Cleanup Crew. Throughout the weekend, Gym Helpers work to keep the gym a safe and clean facility for our children to play basketball games. Finally, at the end of each day, Gym Clean Up Crews help by cleaning up and getting the gym ready for the following day. Sunday is the day with the greatest need. If possible sign up for a Sunday Clean Up Crew. Any help you provide on the Sunday Clean Up Crew is really appreciated.
